Washington State’s Department of Ecology has proposed seven new “Priority Chemicals and Chemical Classes” used in a wide variety of consumer products, including household cleaners, pigments and personal care. The announcement launches “Cycle 2” of regulations as part of Safer Products for Washington, which is the nation’s strongest law regulating select chemicals in products.
